Why Drupal Was Chosen 
We chose Drupal because of its easy to use content authoring, excellent user-contributed modules, and flexible API.
Describe the Project (Goals, Requirements, and Outcome) 

After a 6 month redesign process and one crazy night of implementation, the Indianapolis Museum of Art launched a completely redesigned ArtBabble in December 2012. The original site launched April 2009 with 7 partners and around 200 videos. The site now boasts 54 partners from 5 countries, including art museums, university museums, galleries and other cultural institutions with almost 3,000 art-related videos.

Taxonomy: The existing video tags were sorted into a new structure of 5 major categories, following industry cataloguing standards and embedding artist biography content from Wikipedia. Using this framework, the navigation of the site was re-imagined as the taxonomy itself, to get visitors to content faster.

Search: ArtBabble’s new search lets users find what they are looking for faster and easier. In conjunction with the navigation filters, it allows for targeted search as well as casual browsing.

Design: The website was completely visually updated. The brand was modernized and simplified, while paying homage to the previous look of ArtBabble. The new page layouts make the video the star using a charcoal grey background and wide-screen format.

Embedding: ArtBabble can now embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and Brightcove. This makes adding videos much easier for our partners, which leads to more timely content for our users. The redesign included transferring more than 1,200 hosted videos  over to embedded videos.

Social: Integrating Facebook comments into ArtBabble video pages means more conversation around the videos. Users can share videos on Facebook and watch them in their Facebook feed.

For Educators: The beginning of an educational section was imagined for the new ArtBabble, including a new format for the inclusion of curricula. The IMA hopes for this section to continue to grow.

Mobile: The new ArtBabble website is responsive, and coupled with HTML5 videos from YouTube and a new JW player, this means the site is completely accessible from any device.
