Key Modules, Theme, and Distribution Used
This is an Acquia Drupal 7 site that relies on a custom, responsive theme that was created exclusively for Temple. Key Modules include: Context Revisioning Feeds Feeds Tamper Bean
Why these Modules, Theme, and Distribution were Chosen

The Context module was used to provide custom page layouts, and to apply specific structural tweaks to individual pages.

The revisioning module is critical to the editoral workflow of the site, and ensures that content edits are created, checked, and published in a streamlined process.

Feeds and Feeds tamper are used to pull in news stories from Temple's news site, pre-process them, and display them in a custom, responsive carousel on the homepage.

The always-useful Bean module allows temple to create custom sidebar widgets and other page elements, then place them throughout the page layout.

Development Company
Context is a web development team based just outside of Philadelphia. We develop and deploy large-scale content managed or e-commerce sites, most often using Drupal as our platform. We focus heavily on the implementation, scalability, and manageability of the sites we build so that our clients can use their site as a tool to promote business growth.
Why Drupal Was Chosen
Drupal was chosen for Temple's new site for two primary reasons: 1 - The University staff needed a platform that would offer their internal team complete control over the content on the site. With Drupal as their content management tool, Temple is now able to keep their imagery, videos, and content fresh and up to date. 2 - As one of the nation's largest providers of professional education, the security, reliability, and scalability of the site were of the utmost importance in choosing a platform. When comparing open source content management platforms, Drupal had a clear advantage in enterprise-level, multi-site deployments.
Describe the Project (Goals, Requirements, and Outcome)

Moving into 2013, it was critical that Temple update their flagship website to reflect the high standard of quality and brand definition that had become part of the university's greater marketing efforts. The existing website  had become out-dated in both content and aesthetic, and the marketing and communications departments at the university knew that they needed a way to better engage their site visitors.

Additionally, Temple has launched a university-wide accessibility initiative, and the existing website was not only not mobile-friendly, but it was not compliant with ADA accessibility guidelines. On the new site, a fully responsive theme ensures that the site renders elegantly on any device, and considerable attention was given to ensuring that the site is fully ADA compliant.

Within 3 months of the launch, the number of daily visits to the site has nearly doubled.
