About Blue Drop Awards

The Blue Drop Awards is an independent, community-nominated, community-voted event created in 2012 that aims to publicly recognize the excellent individuals, companies and projects that have pushed the limits and maximized the capabilities of Drupal, the open source content management system.

Drupal projects and the people behind them are to be nominated by the Drupal community. Finalists will be selected by the Blue Drop Awards Nominating Committee based on Drupal Innovation, Use of Drupal Best Practices, Content, Structure & Navigation, Visual Design, Functionality and Overall Experience.

Voting will be open to the public on BlueDropAwards.org from the list of selected finalists.

Important dates:

February 26, 2013 - Launch Blue Drop Awards 2013 website - Open for nominations

March 22nd, 2013 - Nomination closed - Committee selects finalists

April 15th, 2013 - Finalists introduced - Voting starts

May 5th, 2013 - Voting ends - Countdown until DrupalCon Portland

The resulting projects will represent the best-of-the-best in the world of Drupal and will be put on display for the world to see on the Blue Drop Awards Showcase website, BlueDropAwards.org.
